Iron Horse Trail Pleasanton - EBRPD, the City of Pleasanton and Ponderosa Homes are working cooperatively to construct approximately 1 mile of the Iron Horse Trail project from Busch Road to Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton along an existing public right of way. It will be the first segment of the Iron Horse Trail to be built in Pleasanton. The right of way is approximately 100 feet wide and the trail will be approximately 16 feet wide, with landscaping surrounding the trail. The trail includes features such as gates, fencing, landscaping, signage and an enhanced crossing at Mohr Avenue. This work is being funded by the City of Pleasanton, EBRPD, Ponderosa Homes, as well as a $450,000 grant from the Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA).
Alamo Canal Trail Undercrossing - The cities of Pleasanton and Dublin, East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD), Zone 7 Water Agency, and Caltrans are working together to create a trail under I-580 to connect Pleasanton and Dublin. This joint project would provide Pleasanton residents an alternate route to the Iron Horse Trail in Dublin. It would also provide visitors to Pleasanton non-motorized, off-street access to various areas in the City, such as Val Vista Community Park, Tennis and Community Park, Alameda County Fairgrounds, and Downtown/Main Street. A feasibility study for the project has been completed. Pleasanton, Dublin and EBRPD will soon begin the design and environmental phases of the project. This portion of work is being funded by the three agencies, as well as a $235,000 grant from the Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA).
