East Bay Regional Park District Reception and Book Signing

On Friday September 10, 2010 from 5-8 p.m., the East Bay Regional Park District will hold a hosted reception and author signing of the recently-published Living Landscape book, which details the history of the Park District’s 75 years.  The reception will take place at the Oakland Museum of California on the Peace Terrace, located outdoors on the third level.  It is open to the public by sending an RSVP by September 3 to bmontano@ebparks.org or by calling 1-510-544-2200.

Published by Wilderness Press, Living Landscape traces the Park District’s beginnings during the Great Depression and goes behind the scenes to disclose how the Park District became the largest regional park agency in the nation. Author Laura McCreery will sign books during the event. Books will be available for purchase at the event courtesy of the Museum.
