Paul Miller, supervisor of Roberts Regional Recreation Area in Oakland, has been promoted by the East Bay Regional Park District to become the new unit manager for the District's Recreation Areas.
In his new position, Miller will be responsible for overseeing the Park District's Recreation Areas. These include Roberts, Cull Canyon (Castro Valley), Lake Temescal (Oakland), Don Castro (Hayward), Kennedy Grove (El Sobrante), and Diablo Foothills (Walnut Creek).
Paul is a U.C. Berkeley graduate with a degree in Marine Biology who has been with the Park District for many years and has worked in a variety of parks, the last eleven as Park Supervisor at Roberts Regional Recreation Area.
"Paul is very familiar with the challenges of swimming pools and water disinfection systems and is ready to take on the issues in those arenas throughout the Recreation Areas Unit," said Jack Kenny, Chief of Operations for the East Bay Regional Park District. "His expertise in this arena is valuable as many of the Recreation Areas offer swimming and other outdoor recreation opportunities to the public."
A new park supervisor for Roberts Regional Recreation Area is expected to be named next month.
