Camp Arroyo

An environmental education center and youth camp for children

Park'n It Summer Day Camp: Enjoy five weeks of fun in the sun, park explorations, swimming, fishing, hiking, arts & crafts, games, and much more! Each camp session features two fun-filled discovery field trips visiting one of the 65 parks in the East Bay Regional Park District. Your child will learn about the park environments, make new friends, and stay healthy through our active programs. All field trip transportation is on contracted school buses.

Open Water Junior Lifeguards: Choose one, or several of our 8 week-long programs at 5 of our parks. This dynamic summer program, for youth ages 9-15, provides an introduction to Water Safety/Rescue, First Aid, and CPR in a fun and challenging environment. Each day, participants enjoy a variety of beach and water activities designed to promote fitness, self-esteem, and teamwork. Focus is given to personal safety and community service. In addition to the extensive core curriculum, a specific theme will be emphasized each session.

Financial Assistance

The Regional Parks Foundation provides Camperships to qualifying families of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Campership funds are limited, so apply early.  Campership awards may be applied to “Park’n It” Summer Day Camps, Open Water Junior Lifeguard Camps or Swim Lessons in Contra Loma Regional Recreation Area or Roberts Regional Park.

Please note, all applications with supporting proof of income must arrive in our office at least seven (7) days prior to the first day of your preferred program.
